Wendy Truscott has been inspired and shaped by Muskoka for over sixty years, as a cottager and  permanent resident. Most significantly, this is where she met her amazing husband. Muskoka’s history provides the setting for her novel, Haunted Journey, and a romance/mystery with a Muskoka connection is being edited. She is currently writing a sequel to Haunted Journey.

A former teacher and Domestic Goddess (stay-at-home mom), Wendy discovered her creative side somewhat late in life. Always an avid reader, she has become equally passionate about painting and writing. A keen interest in genealogy led to writing extensive family histories, and perhaps inevitably, to a memoir-writing group at the Baysville Library.  Here she was encouraged to expand her range, resulting in her first novel and even some poetry. Two pieces are included in the Northern Ontario Poetry Anthology, 2014.  Her new motto: It’s never too late to discover the adventure of a new passion or creative outlet . However, she considers her most wonderful creations to be her three kind, caring, and responsible children.
