“... my nine year old grandson and I have been reading your book together … and  really enjoyed it! I can’t believe how many questions it’s sparked him to ask me about my childhood. It’s really kept his attention and he looks forward to each chapter. In fact he never wants me to stop reading, even when he’s exhausted…. It takes a lot to amuse a nine-year -old so kudos.                                                                                      - Linda Lacroix, CEO Township of Lake of Bays Libraries

“I read your book and it was amazing. The way you wrote it I could picture every scene crystal clear, as if I was sitting in the corner. I was glued to it for two days straight! I only put it down to eat, sleep, or going to the bathroom....The intense pieces I would catch myself holding my breath, or my eyes popping out like helium balloons! You truly did a amazing job 100%. Thank you for writing the book Haunted Journey.                                                                            -Jadyn Heath (age 11)

“I purchased Haunted Journey as a gift for my granddaughter/s birthday. However, before passing it on I began reading it myself. I found it very intriguing and entertaining and found I could not put it down. I was “hooked” by the book . It is an easy read, a great little story containing some thoughtful and significant messages for young adolescents.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       - Elaine Cook

“ praise for a well written, suspenseful, heart rending, satisfying read that kept me wanting to get back to each chapter as soon as possible. I would love to read a sequel. I'm mindful of "Roughing it in the Bush" (Susanna Moodie); and agree (Haunted Journey) should be required reading for our students and all who enjoy tales of toil, human interest, joy, and a link to the past for some of us who have a memory of a family member being brought up in a log cabin in a clearing.                                  –Meredith Massey

“..This book grabbed me from the first sentence. I was hooked. The story took me back to a time of the early settlers and profiled their daily life in the little town ... We follow the really well-developed characters as they learn to cope with interesting challenges thrown at them. .. a great story… I.. found that I really wanted to move along with the characters and see what more is waiting for them in the future. I am hoping for a series!”                                                                             –                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         -Marlene Robinson

“…a journey into the past of my beloved Canada…to a time when life was kinder and gentler yet harsh and challenging. I was impressed by the author’s ability to make pioneer life… come alive. I admired (her) ability to get into the psyche of the various players…especially those in their childhood and teen years... the plot (was) realistic and believable and developed at a pace that truly held my interest.”                                                                                                  - John Vellinga
